Locate the puncture in the tyre. Check for foreign objects that may have caused it and remove them if necessary. 2. Unthread the cap from the TPT-1 tool. 3. Insert the tool into the puncture in the tyre and ream the damaged area by pushing the knurled section of the fork back and forth through the puncture. 4. Take a plug and insert it halfway through the forked end of the tool. 5. Insert the tool into the puncture with the plug in place. The plug will fold in half as the tool is inserted. Push the tool until approx. 6 mm of the plug ends are still visible. 6. Push the plug retainer down onto the tyre body where the plug protrudes from the tyre. 7. Pull the tool out of the tyre. Hold the plug in place while doing this. 8. Re-inflate the tyre to test the plug. 9. For larger punctures, use multiple plugs and repeat the steps. Note from the manufacturer:Repairs with the TPT-1 should be considered temporary. A patched tyre should be replaced as soon as possible.
