The from the American AGM Global Vision is a robust night vision binocular suitable for long-term observations at great distances. The Gen2 image intensifier features 5x optical magnification and a large 140mm lens with high light output. The AGM FoxBat-5 comes standard with a long-range LED infrared illuminator (850nm/1,000mW).

The night vision device is equipped with a Generation 2 image intensifier tube (IIT) in night vision green. This is the classic navy green image and is also referred to as Green Phosphor. The image intensifier tube amplifies the available ambient light thousands of times. Because the night vision device has one image intensifier tube but two eyepieces, it is called bi-ocular. You can use the image intensifier with two eyes simultaneously, which means you can observe comfortably for extended periods. Unlike a monocular night vision device (suitable for one eye), you do not have to continuously squint one eye. There is a hand strap on the side of the housing so you can comfortably carry the viewer in your hand. With the included tripod, it is possible to position the viewer stably.

Infrared Auxiliary Light

Because the image intensifier is equipped with an image intensifier tube, even a minimal amount of ambient light is converted into a visible image. This allows you to work for a long time without IR auxiliary light. But if you are in complete darkness without any ambient light, you can use the included AGM Sioux850nm long-range infrared illuminator. This IR Illuminator provides a light source outside the visible spectrum, allowing you to observe in complete darkness without being detected. The advantage of 850nm IR is that you have maximum power - viewing distance up to 1 kilometer - but the infrared glow is visible when looking directly into the IR source at close range. You can adjust the power and size of the beam.

If you prefer to use a 940nm infrared illuminator, the AGM Sioux940 is optionally available. A 940nm IR has an invisible glow, but also a shorter range than 850nm IR.

Application AGM FoxBat-5 (NL1)

This image intensifier is extremely suitable for nocturnal observations at long distances. Especially when you want to observe for long periods, comfortably, and from a stationary/slowly moving position, the AGM FoxBat-5 is indispensable. This includes, for example, security, rescue operations, and tactical applications, but this image intensifier is also a valuable tool for hunters, boaters, or nature enthusiasts. You can attach the AGM FoxBat to the included tripod via the threaded connection on the bottom.

This night vision device is equipped with an image-intensifying tube, so you cannot use the device during the day. The device will automatically shut off when there is too much light.
