Agm Taipan TM15-384 Thermal Monocular

The AGM Taipan TM15-384 is a versatile thermal imaging camera from a specific market segment. The Taipan series was developed for users who want a step up from entry-level quality, but at the same time do not want to spend thousands of euros. This thermal camera has a 384x288 detector (12μm), a 15mm lens, and a large field of view of 17.5 degrees. This makes the Taipan TM15-384 suitable for general observations at short and medium distances.

Internal features
The device has a 50hz refresh rate, so it provides real-time images. This means you can easily track moving targets without delay. The thermal image is projected onto a full-color display with 1280 x 960 pixels. The viewer has an optical 1.5x magnification and a digital zoom of 2x, 4x, and 8x. Your maximum total zoom is therefore 12x.

Thermal Imaging Range
The thermal camera can detect objects up to a distance of 708m. This is the distance at which you see 'something' and should not be confused with the identification distance (only when identifying can you, for example, determine whether the person you see is male or female). The field of view is 17.5 by 13.1 degrees. Thanks to the automatic focus, you do not have to continuously manually focus.

Useful functionalities
You can display the environment according to your preference using four color palettes: White hot, Black hot, Red hot, and Fusion (also known as Rainbow). The thermal imaging camera also has a so-called Hot Track function with which animals/people are directly "indicated" with a cursor. You can also approximately measure the distance to people, objects or animals via the "Distance measurement" function. You can also control the contrast and brightness in five levels.

Recording, sharing and live-streaming
With the Taipan, you can make endless recordings. Your photos and videos are automatically stored in the internal 8GB memory. With the help of a Wi-fi connection or via the included USB-C cable, you can easily transfer your recordings to your smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. With the Taipan series, you can also live-stream images to your smartphone or tablet. For this, you need the free T-Vision app, available for iOS and Android. This allows you to remotely control the thermal imaging camera and also make recordings. Connection is via Wi-Fi.

Physical characteristics
Thanks to its IP67 certification, you can use the device in many (weather) conditions. The viewer is water and dustproof and resistant to a fall of 1.5m on concrete. You can also effortlessly use the camera in extreme temperatures (-20°C to +55°C). The AGM Taipan has an internal Li-ion battery with a usage time of up to 7.5 hours. A standby mode is also available to further extend the usage time.
