AGM Voyage LRF TB50-640 Thermal Night Vision Fusion Camera with Laser Rangefinder

The AGM Voyage LRF TB50-640 is a top-segment fusion camera with a 640x512 detector (12µm), a 50mm lens, and a laser rangefinder. Fusion combines thermal imaging with digital night vision, adding a new dimension to thermal imaging by American AGM Global Vision. With this viewer, you see beyond the limits of nature and benefit from a viewing distance of up to 2.6 kilometers. The camera features, among other things, a Dutch operating menu and is very accessible to use.

What exactly is image fusion?

"Image fusion" incorporates the latest technology and blends thermal imaging with black and white optical night vision. While the environment is displayed in visible light with unprecedented clarity, the warmest objects in the image become immediately visible based on their heat source. For example, you can view the trees in the forest with all their detail, while the outlines of a person/animal are highlighted in a striking color.

Fusion, thermal imaging, night vision, and optical imaging

The AGM Voyage LRF is a true 4-in-1 camera. In addition to image fusion, you can also disable one of the two functions. For instance, you can use only thermal imaging to easily detect people or animals without being distracted by the rest of the environment. In the main menu, you then choose the "detection" function instead of "jungle." You can choose from four color palettes: black hot, white hot, red hot, and full-color. If you only want to see the environment in visible light, you can also choose to use only night vision. You can use this function in all situations where there is some form of residual light present. Think of starlight, a clear sky, or distant streetlights. Finally, you can use the AGM Fuzion LRF during the day as a digital camera. 

Features of the viewer

The AGM TB50-640 LRF has a 50mm lens. The camera features 3.5x base magnification with 16x digital zoom. The large FOV of 5.9 x 4.7 degrees allows you to see a large part of the surroundings. The image is projected in real-time (50 FPS) onto a razor-sharp 0.39" OLED display with a 1024x768 resolution. You can adjust its brightness and contrast. With the help of manual focus, you can always sharpen the environment to your preference. The camera features the latest 12 micron, 640x512 thermal sensor with a refresh rate of 25 Hz. This AGM sensor has a leading sensitivity rating of less than 20 mK (millikelvin). This allows human heat signatures to be detected up to 2,600m.

Everything you see can be captured in photos and videos. These are stored on the internal 64GB memory. You can also connect the viewer via Wi-fi, allowing you to watch live via your smartphone/tablet, control the camera remotely, and take recordings remotely. This can be done, for example, with the free AG app, which is available for both Android and iOS.

Laser Specifications

With the built-in laser rangefinder, you can measure distances to animals, people, and objects. The distance to the target you are focusing on is shown on the display. The laser beam has a range of up to 600m and an accuracy of approximately 1m. The laser has a wavelength of 905nm, is classified in Laser Safety Class 1, and is therefore eye-safe. This is the highest safety class, but it is still not recommended to look into the source or beam.

Physical characteristics

On the right side of the housing is a comfortable leather hand strap. This ensures you always hold the viewer securely. Power is supplied by three 18650 batteries (six rechargeable batteries and a charger are included as standard). This provides a usage time of no less than eight hours, which can be extended by using the standby mode. You can also connect an external power source such as a power bank or continuous power supply. The camera is easy to carry thanks to its light weight and compact size. Thanks to its IP67 certification, the device also performs optimally in harsh weather conditions and challenging environments.

The T50-640 LRF is the top model in the AGM binocular Fusion series. It offers you the maximum in terms of clarity, quality, viewing distance, and field of view, and allows you to use the laser rangefinder. The dual-camera can quickly detect hidden people and animals, even under extreme conditions such as complete darkness, fog, rain, snow, etc. Because the viewer has a rangefinder, the Voyage is extremely suitable for use during hunting, security, tactical applications, and nature observations. By combining thermal imaging and night vision, you see the environment more realistically and it is therefore easier to understand. This way you see much more detail and much better depth compared to a traditional thermal imaging camera. This viewer can be used by professionals as well as demanding enthusiasts.
