Tapered steerers are popular on many types of frame today, including mountain and road. Semi cartridge bearings are used for superior smooth steering. Cartridge bearings allow for a reduction in servicing needed to keep your headset running smooth. If they need replacing you simply replace the single unit rather than individual ball bearings. The dimensions of the HS-I11-1 are 28.6/44-56/39.8mm and the height is 21.2mm.XLC have used aluminium for the construction of the HS-I11-1 due to its sturdiness and lightweight composition.
