Instructions for cooling products

How to use the cooling product
First, make sure you have a sufficient amount of water available to immerse the cooling product. Then take the product out of its packaging and hold it under water while gently kneading the Aqua CoolKeeper. The cooling crystals in the product will soak up the cool water and retain their cooling property for at least two days. The product expands slightly, making it nice and soft and comfortable. This way you can use the product frequently, without ice or freezing. It is normal for the collar to feel moist after soaking. You can gently wring out the cooling product (do not squeeze too hard!) After a few hours, most of the moisture will be gone. Your pet does not have to wait before putting on the collar; it can be worn immediately. For best results, you can soak the cooling product the evening before use and then hang it to dry. This way, the product will be completely dry and filled with wonderfully cool crystals the next morning. The product can be cooled in the refrigerator (not in the freezer compartment, just the refrigerator compartment), for example, if you have a long car journey ahead and it only gets really warm in the afternoon. Never use an ice-cold product directly on your animal; it is unpleasant and not good for the muscles.

The cooling collar contains a reservoir with cooling crystals that, when worn, precisely covers the arteries in the neck. Because arteries lie on the surface of the skin, blood flows directly past the cooling reservoir, which ultimately cools the entire body. You can compare the effect to holding your wrists under running cold water. The cooling collar can be attached to a regular collar.

Important: When the cooling product is used for the first time, it is possible that crystals may come out through the seams. During the stitching process, the crystals are carried along in the stitch seam. After immersing the product in water 2-3 times, so that the crystals soak up, this should no longer occur. The released crystals can be swept away with a brush. The crystals are not harmful to humans or animals.

Washing instructions
If it is necessary to wash the product, please proceed as follows.
Dry the product completely, making sure it feels as it did when you took it out of the packaging. It can take several days for the product to lose all its moisture. You can quickly wash the product by hand with mild soap (but preferably without). Do not use detergent or aggressive cleaning agents! These will damage the crystals, causing them to lose their effectiveness.

Instructions for long-lasting enjoyment
If you want to store your Aqua CoolKeeper, make sure it is completely dry first. This can take several days. You can make the Aqua CoolKeeper dry faster by hanging it outside in the wind. Never store the Aqua CoolKeeper in a plastic bag or plastic container when it is still slightly damp, as this can cause mold.

The following actions are harmful to the Aqua CoolKeeper:
- the Aqua CoolKeeper cannot withstand salt water
- the Aqua CoolKeeper cannot withstand petrol or diesel
- the Aqua CoolKeeper cannot withstand alcohol
- the Aqua CoolKeeper cannot withstand bleach or chlorine

The above substances will damage the cooling properties of the Aqua CoolKeeper.
