Beaphar Anti-Myiasis Maggot Disease Rabbit 75 ml is a convenient skin spray that provides one month of protection against myiasis in rabbits. Myiasis, or maggot disease, is a real danger, especially for rabbits living outdoors. However, even indoor rabbits can be visited by blowflies through open windows! These blowflies are attracted to faeces stuck to the rabbit's hindquarters. The fly lays eggs in the faeces or on the animal's skin, after which the maggots begin to gnaw through the skin and can cause blood poisoning, infections, or even death. Reduce this risk with this spray from Beaphar, which is easy to apply to the rabbit's fur. This spray contains 0.5 mg/ml Ivermectin, which kills the eggs and maggots. Please note: the adult fly is not killed! Therefore, always ensure sufficient hygiene and consult a veterinarian immediately if maggots are found. The spray is effective for one month.
