Met de Plopkappen van Boya kan je het ploppen en suizen bij de uitspraak van o.a. de letters P, F en S tegengaan en het suisgeluid van de wind voorkomen bij buitengebruik. De Boya plopkap voorkomt ook het binnendringen van vuil en speeksel in de microfoon. De 3 plopkappen zijn gemaakt van schuimrubber. De grootte van een plopkap is 2,2x1,9 cm (LxB). Er kan een microfoon in van maximaal 1,8cm lang en tot een diameter van 0,7 cm.
