De Boya BY-MM1+ is een universele compacte Shotgun Richtmicrofoon, die speciaal is ontworpen om de geluidskwaliteit van video's te verbeteren, ten opzichte van de ingebouwde microfoons. De BY-MM1+ heeft een compact formaat en is gemaakt van aluminium. De BY-MM1+ werkt zonder batterij, dus je hoeft je geen zorgen te maken over de batterijstatus (mits uw camera fantoomvoeding levert). Inbegrepen in de doos is een vernieuwde anti-shock mount, die effectief ongewenste trillingen en geluidsoverlast kan verminderen. Ook inbegrepen is een windscherm, om zowel binnen als buiten wind en ruis te minimaliseren. Er is een extra 3.5 mm poort aanwezig waarop u een koptelefoon kunt aansluiten, om zo achteraf de opnames terug te kunnen luisteren wanneer u ze afspeelt.
