The Byomic Study Microscope BYO-30 is a biological microscope with transmitted illumination. This makes the microscope extremely suitable for viewing cells and micro-organisms. The BYO-30 is a microscope for experienced users and is often used in secondary education. The minimum magnification can be set from 20x to no less than 640x.

• Casing:

  The BYO-30 has a sturdy metal casing with an integrated stage of 100 by 90 mm, which is equipped with two sturdy clamps that hold a specimen firmly in position. Because the specimen does not shift, you can observe it without problems. A cross-table is also included, which can be mounted on the stage. This allows you to clearly read the size of a larva you are observing. To mount the cross-table, you must first remove the clamps from the stage.

• Focus wheel:

  The focus wheel controls the distance between the objective and the stage. This allows the specimen to be viewed in sharp focus at the correct distance.

• Rear of casing:

  On the back of the casing, next to the power cable, there is an on/off switch to control the lighting, and on the other side, the fuse is located. To the far right of the microscope, you will find the rotary wheel for the lighting.

• Eyepieces:

  The Byomic BYO-30 is equipped with one wide-angle eyepiece with a magnification of 10x and two eyepieces with a magnification of 5x and 16x respectively. Of course, it is also possible to use eyepieces with other specifications. Eyepieces with a diameter of 23mm fit into the tube (see optional accessories).

• Objectives:

  The objective revolver contains three achromatic objectives (4x, 10x and 40x), allowing a maximum magnification of 640x to be achieved. It is possible to change these objectives, allowing other magnifications to be achieved as well.

• Illumination:

  The Byomic BYO-30 has an LED on the base under the stage that provides transmitted illumination.
  In addition, there is a rotary wheel under the stage with five holes of different sizes. This allows the amount of light that is transmitted to be determined. The brightness of the illumination can also be controlled with the rotary wheel located on the right.
