De "gewone" kunststof haring is gemaakt van hard- of lagedruk polyetheen (High Density) . Dit materiaal is vooral van belang als er gewicht bespaard moet worden. Deze haring blijft zelfs drijven! Kunststofharingen zijn geschikt voor zowel voor zowel zachte- als harde grond. Op versteende bodem en op rotsgrond is hij echter niet geschikt.
Een andere mogelijkheid is een kunststof tentharing van ABS (Acrylonitril-Butadieën-Styreen) De slagvastheid en taaiheid van dit materiaal ligt een stuk hoger dan bij hard-polyetheen het geval is. Hierdoor staat hij ook op versteende bodem zijn mannetje, maar op rotsgrond schiet ook dit materiaal te kort. Umefa tentharing kunstst.20cm pak a 6 stuks
