An expansion for the popular tile-laying game Carcassonne. The circus travels around the Carcassonne area, and wherever it pitches its tent, meeples flock to it. You try to place your meeples near the circus tent to earn extra points, depending on an animal token covered by the tent. Furthermore, you can now use your meeples as artists, earning 5 points each during a special scoring round. Ringmasters are regular meeples, but they receive extra points if they perform their work in the immediate vicinity of the circus or artists. In combination with the base game, this expansion can be played with a maximum of 5 players, but with Traders & Builders, an additional player can join. We recommend combining this expansion only with the newest Carcassonne base game from 2016 for the best gaming experience, but The Circus can also be played with the old base game and its expansions. The tiles have a new art style, but the backs have remained the same. Contents: 20 land tiles, 16 animal tokens, 1 circus tent, 6 ringmasters, the game rules. Ages 7 and up, 2-5 players.
