Description
This expansion is the fourth major addition to the popular board game in recent decades. It contains various scenarios that introduce new game rules step by step. This expansion is all about discovering new territories. Important new mechanisms include sailing ships, picking up and dropping off passengers and goods, and 3 challenging missions.
- Land Ho!: This is the introductory scenario in which most new game rules are introduced. You can actually sail your ship, develop villages into port villages, load and unload settlers and goods, build villages in different ways, and receive rewards for discovering land.
- Pirate ships make it difficult for you and the mission rules give you the opportunity to score extra points. For example, you must successively capture pirate depots, catch fish for the Council of Catan, and transport spices.
- In the ultimate scenario "Pirates & Explorers", all missions are combined! This offers avid Catan players many hours of fun.
This expansion can only be combined with the renewed version of The Settlers of Catan.
