Filter media for sand filter pumps in the form of finely ground glass. The Comfortpool glass beads are made from 100% locally recycled glass.
- Glass beads clean pool water more thoroughly and efficiently than filter sand.
- Glass beads filter dirt particles down to 5 to 10 microns, while sand only filters down to approximately 30 microns.
- Glass has a longer lifespan than filter sand.
- Cleaning the filter bed via backwash is also less often necessary, and less water is consumed for this.
