Description
This tool allows you to check and correct the position of the derailleur hanger relative to the frame. Remove any installed rear derailleur. Screw the threaded spindle into the derailleur hanger and secure it with the lock nut. Measure the distance from the rim at different points with the feeler gauge. The distance will be equal if the derailleur hanger's position is correct and the wheel is centered. Where you find a distance deviation, you can correct the derailleur hanger by pushing the alignment tool's lever up or down. A correctly aligned derailleur enables flawless shifting and protects the frame from damage.
