Good tools are very important when caring for and shaping Bonsai. The more intensely one works with Bonsai, the more specialized tools one will want to have. If you are just starting with the care of a bonsai plant, make sure you at least have all the basic tools. We offer individual products, but you can also choose a tool set. A Bonsai knife, for example, is very useful if you want to repot a bonsai, with a bonsai scraper you can lightly loosen and aerate the soil, with a 2-pronged bonsai fork you can easily work between the roots, and finally, a small shovel is of course very useful for working the surface of your bonsai soil. Made of forged Boron steel and FSC certified ash wood Dimensions: 18 x 3 (working width) x 2.5 cm In the winter of 1898, young Willem de Wit from Kornhorn began his plans to start a forge. With hammer, anvil, and coal fire, he started his forge on April 1st of that year. It soon became clear to him that hammer and anvil were not the future; it had to be automated. So, he built a steam forging hammer and named the company Stoomsmederij W. de Wit. After the war, the coal fire was replaced by oil-fired ovens, allowing production to commence. The second generation quickly realized that the region was too small, so they acquired a second factory, De Wit Heros, a shovel and spade factory from Aduard. Together with the hoe production in Kornhorn, national delivery was possible. The steel was forged in Kornhorn and Aduard into semi-finished products for local blacksmiths in the Netherlands. The roughly forged tools went unfinished to the locals, who gave them their own shape. The third generation expanded the assortment with tools for construction and road building, and deliveries at that time already went through wholesalers to retailers. With the arrival of the 4th generation, automation also continued. Nowadays, it is not only manual work, but series of 10,000 pieces are made with robots. The fire has been replaced by induction technology; welding, forging, and hardening can all be done with robots today. DeWit was one of the first companies in the Netherlands with 3D fiber laser technology, allowing you to still determine the model after forging and hardening tools. In addition to 3D technology, there are also 2 conventional fiber lasers in the company. Sustainability is paramount within the company, which today produces garden tools and road building tools. Energy from their own solar panels, gas-free induction forging ovens, water-based paint systems, and the wooden products are also produced locally.
