Description
USB Type-C™ Docking Station – HDMI™ 1.4 High Speed – mini DisplayPort – VGA – LAN – USB – Card Reader – Power Delivery This USB Type-C™ docking station allows a computer with a USB Type-C™ port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode or a Thunderbolt™ 3 port to be expanded with multiple connections for video, data, network, audio, and storage. Via a single connection, two external monitors can be driven simultaneously via HDMI and mini DisplayPort, or alternatively one monitor via VGA.
Host Port Requirements
The USB Type-C™ port of the host device must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Use is also possible via Thunderbolt™ 3 ports. Without DisplayPort Alternate Mode, video output via HDMI, mini DisplayPort, and VGA is not possible.
Inputs
1× USB Type-C™ male (host connection).
1× USB Type-C™ female (power, Power Delivery).
Outputs
1× HDMI A female (video).
1× mini DisplayPort female (video).
1× VGA 15-pin female (video).
3× USB Type A female (USB 3.2 Gen 1×1).
1× RJ45 Gigabit LAN (10/100/1000 Mbps).
1× 3.5 mm 4-pole headset jack (audio in / out).
1× SD / SDHC / SDXC / MMC card reader.
1× microSD / SDHC / SDXC card reader.
Signal Direction
USB Type-C™ / Thunderbolt™ → video, USB, network, and audio.
Image and Video Support
HDMI and mini DisplayPort outputs support simultaneous image display via DisplayPort MST.
Supported resolutions: up to 2560 × 1440 at 60 Hz or up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz, depending on the system and connected hardware.
VGA output supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz.
Multi-Stream Transport (MST)
The docking station functions as a DisplayPort MST hub and supports extended desktop configurations according to DisplayPort 1.2. When used with macOS, the same image is displayed on HDMI and mini DisplayPort (mirroring); independent control of both outputs is not possible under macOS.
HDMI Version
HDMI™ 1.4 High Speed.
DisplayPort Support
DisplayPort 1.2 via USB Type-C™ DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Thunderbolt™ 3.
VGA Output
The VGA output transmits analog video signal only. Audio is not supported via VGA.
Audio
Audio is output via HDMI and mini DisplayPort and is also available via the 3.5 mm headset jack. Support depends on the host device and operating system.
USB Functionality
The three USB Type A ports support USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 with a maximum data rate of 5 Gbit/s. The maximum combined output power for USB devices is 10 W, with one port providing a maximum of 7.5 W and the other two ports collectively providing a maximum of 5 W.
Network
The integrated RJ45 connector supports Gigabit Ethernet with speeds up to 1000 Mbps for wired network connections.
Memory Card Readers
Support for SD, SDHC, SDXC, and MMC cards, as well as microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC cards. Only one card reader can be active at a time.
Power and Power Delivery
The docking station supports USB Power Delivery via the USB Type-C™ power port. With an external USB-C™ power adapter, the host device can be powered up to a maximum of 60 W. The docking station can also be used without an external power supply, in which case it is powered via the host connection.
Cable
Fixed connection cable with a length of approximately 18 cm including connector.
