Video, USB, network, and power are offered through a single connection. Host Port Requirements The USB Type-C™ port of the host device must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Use is also possible via Thunderbolt™ 3 ports. Without DisplayPort Alternate Mode, video output via HDMI and VGA is not possible. VGA output supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz. The final resolution depends on the host device and the connected displays. HDMI and VGA cannot be used simultaneously at maximum resolution. HDMI Version HDMI™ 1.4 High Speed. VGA Output The VGA output only transports an analog video signal. Audio is not supported via VGA. Audio Audio is output together with the video signal via HDMI, according to the capabilities of the host device and the connected display. USB Functionality The USB ports support USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 with a maximum data transfer rate of 5 Gbit/s. The USB Type A port with BC1.2 supports increased charging current for compatible devices. Network The integrated RJ45 connection supports Ethernet speeds up to 1000 Mbps for wired network connections. Memory Card Readers Support for SD, SDHC and SDXC cards, as well as microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards. Only one card reader can be active at a time. Power and Power Delivery The docking station supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 via the USB Type-C™ power port. An external USB-C™ power adapter can be connected to power the host device. The delivered power is up to 100 W. The docking station can also be used without external power, in which case it is powered via the host connection.
