Host Port Requirements The host device's USB Type-C™ port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Without DisplayPort Alt Mode, video output is not possible. DisplayPort MST The splitter functions as a DisplayPort MST hub and supports extended desktop configurations (extend or mirror) under operating systems that support MST. Under macOS, the same image is displayed on both HDMI outputs (mirroring); independent control of two screens is not possible under macOS. HDMI Outputs The HDMI outputs transmit digital video and audio signals, in accordance with the capabilities of the host device and the connected HDMI monitors. Audio Audio and video signals are output together via HDMI, depending on the capabilities of the host device and the connected displays.
