Description
Fenolrood wordt gebruikt voor pH-meting. De tablet produceert karakteristieke kleurveranderingen wanneer hij in het watermonster wordt opgelost. De pH-waarde is belangrijk voor de desinfecterende werking van waterverzorgingsproducten. Ook kan het corrosie of neerslag veroorzaken en daarmee materialen beschadigen. De Lovibond® tabletten bevatten thiosulfaat om de storende invloed van chloor op de meting bij zwembadwateranalyses te compenseren. Bovendien kunnen het carbonaatgehalte, de temperatuur en de buffercapaciteit van het watermonster de meting beïnvloeden en moeten daarom ook in gedachten worden gehouden. De snel oplossende tablet is ontwikkeld voor gebruik in sneltesten zoals pooltesters, testkits of comparatoren.
