At last, the experiment has worked... De broers Nick en Joe runnen samen een klein luchtvaartbedrijf. Ze hebben hun zaakjes goed voor elkaar. Tenminste, tot de dag dat een routinevlucht fatale gevolgen krijgt. Het blijkt dat de lading die volgens Nick niets om 't lijf had, uit extreem gevaarlijk plutonium bestaat. Justitie trakteert hem op een warm onthaal alsof hij terroristen zou bevoorraden met de grondstof voor een atoombom. Nick is zich absoluut van geen kwaad bewust. De situatie is uitzichtloos. Achter de tralies wordt Nick gedwongen om mee te werken aan een luguber experiment. Nick ontdekt dat het iets te maken moet hebben met de lading die hij aan boord had. De zonnebrandcreme die hij op zijn lichaam moet smeren, heeft een bizarre bijwerking. Na een douche blijkt Nick onzichtbaar te zijn. Ontsnappen uit de gevangenis is dan geen kunst meer, maar uit de wurggreep blijven van de organisatie die achter dit ultra-geheime experiment zit, des te meer...
