It is important to properly bed in the brake pads after installation. This extends the lifespan of the brake pads. To bed in the brake pads, lightly hold the brake lever while riding. Ensure that the brake pads touch the brake disc. Ride approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase speed while braking lightly. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure that the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
