After installing new brake pads, it is very important to bed them in, as this extends their lifespan.

How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads: Bedding in new disc brake pads significantly extends their lifespan! Lightly apply the brake lever while riding and ensure the brake pads make contact with the brake disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and then brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
