Compounds are made from different materials. Each compound has its advantages and disadvantages. Within the Elvedes range, there is a choice of three different compounds that offer high braking power for every bicycle and every weather condition.

Organic

Lifespan

After installing new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in, as this extends their lifespan.

Bedding in

How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads: Bedding in new disc brake pads significantly extends their lifespan! Keep the brake lever lightly pulled while riding and ensure the brake pads touch the brake disc. Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase the speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.Elvedes disc brake pad 6890 avid elixir 2008
