Compounds are made from various materials. Each compound has its advantages and disadvantages. Within the Elvedes range, there is a choice of three different compounds that offer high braking power for every bike and every weather condition.
After installing new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in, as this extends their lifespan.
How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads:
- Keep the brake lever lightly pulled while riding and ensure the brake pads make contact with the brake disc.
- Ride for approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little harder at the end to reduce the speed to approximately 5 kilometers per hour.
- Then slowly increase speed while braking lightly.
- Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
