Lifespan
After installing new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in, as this extends their lifespan.
Bedding in
How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads: Bedding in new disc brake pads significantly extends their lifespan! Keep the brake lever lightly pulled while riding and make sure the brake pads touch the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake harder at the end to reduce the speed to approximately 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
