This Falcon Eyes UR-48T umbrella has a white, translucent (diffuse) covering. The umbrella can be used to reflect soft light (indirect lighting), but it is also possible to flash through the material, which gives it a softbox effect (direct lighting). Compared to a softbox, you will experience slightly more light loss.
