Description
The FLIR Breach PTQ136 is undoubtedly the most compact thermal imaging camera you have ever seen. The thermal monocular is suitable for (hands-free) observations in complete darkness and poor weather conditions, at both short and long distances. Whether it's people camouflaged in the woods or individuals walking on forbidden terrain in complete darkness: with the FLIR Breach PTQ136, everyone and everything becomes instantly visible, without you yourself being visible.
The thermal imaging camera features high-tech options, displaying images at 60Hz on a large HD LCD screen (1280x960 pixels). The 320x256 detector converts real-time images to a 640x480 resolution using advanced algorithms. The FLIR Breach includes 7 color palettes, an integrated magnetic compass, and endless photo and video recording capabilities. With the 12µm BOSON detector, you can detect people up to a distance of 450 meters. Additionally, the camera focuses from a minimum distance of 25 centimeters, ensuring excellent image quality even up close. On this HD display, you can also zoom in up to 4x, so you don't miss a moment on the spot.
Using the optionally available Goggle Kit, you can use the Breach hands-free by simply wearing it on your head or attaching it to a helmet. Thanks to its light weight (210 grams) and compact size (only 14 cm in length), you can use the camera completely hands-free. The eyepiece fits gently yet seamlessly to your eye. You can power the camera with one included CR123 battery, or you can connect an external power bank. Extra powerful CR123 batteries are also optionally available.
Application
Unlike night vision devices, a thermal imaging camera does not use infrared light but infrared heat. This means that as a user, you never 'light up', as no visible light beam is produced that others can see. This makes the camera extremely suitable for airsoft, security, and tactical applications, as well as general nature observations. All your recorded footage can be easily transferred to another device via the included USB-C cable. To attach the thermal imaging camera to a helmet or head system, use the rail on the right side of the body.
