The FLIR Scion OTM266 is a thermal imaging camera specially designed for observations in complete darkness, bad weather conditions and the most challenging landscapes. Unique to this thermal camera is its very wide field of view of 24x18 degrees. With the Scion OTM (Outdoor Thermal Monocular) you are ready to capture every encounter with people or animals.

You can now have the most high-tech options, such as the new 640x512 (12µm) Boson detector, three observation modes, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and endless photo and video recordings. The 12µm boson detector gives you a superior viewing experience, where pixels from multiple recordings are merged in real-time (60hz). This quadruples the image resolution! You can enlarge the standard optical magnification of 1x by 2x, 4x and 8x using a digital zoom.

Observation modes

The OTM266 has three observation modes. You can use the standard Scouting Mode to observe as you are used to. A new function is the Lock-Span Mode. This allows you to filter out unwanted temperatures that you do not want to see. Think of very cold or hot temperatures, or bright objects such as the sky and fire. This way, only objects you want to focus on are colored; filtered objects are displayed in black. The third mode is Picture-in-Picture. You use this option to zoom in further (2x) on a specific object in the image, without losing the rest of the field of view.

This thermal imaging camera falls under the Dual-Use regulation. You need a permit to (temporarily) export these goods to countries outside the European Union.
