Description
The FLIR Scout III 320 is a handheld thermal imager that allows you to see in complete darkness. You don't see it? The Scout 320 does! This high-tech thermal imager makes it possible to detect heat from a distance of up to 550 meters. The Scout III 320 provides a clear and sharp image from early morning to late at night, and in the middle of the night. Because infrared heat is used, the image is always the same, both during the day and in complete darkness. The unit is so compact that it easily fits in one hand and can also be operated with just one hand. Ideal for security guards, emergency services, customs officers, hikers, safari, farmers, hunting or paintball. See 'optional accessories' to view all accessories for this Scout 320.
Difference with night vision devices
The advantage over night vision equipment is that with thermal imaging equipment you can also easily see if something (or someone) is in the woods. It also gives you the opportunity to see heat traces, for example. Think of a car that has just driven away or a handprint on a certain object. Wounded game can also be easily traced by the heat trace left behind. No light is needed at all to have a clear image with a thermal imager. The 30hz refresh rate ensures very smooth images.
InstAlert function
How you want warm objects to be displayed is entirely up to you! Choose from three different color palettes (see specifications). The Scout III 320 is equipped with the so-called "InstAlert" technology. With the push of a button, the warmest object is then displayed in red. This makes it very easy to follow the desired target.
Unique Features:
- Thermal sensitivity: <50 mK @ f/1.0
- Brightness adjustable
- Auto-shutdown after 5 minutes
- Battery life: 5-7 hours
This thermal imager falls under the Dual-Use regulation. For the (temporary) export of these goods to countries outside the European Union, you need a permit.
