The Google Nest Protect Wireless (2nd generation) is a smoke detector that thinks, speaks and sends notifications to your phone. The Nest Protect has been redesigned from top to bottom. It features a Split-spectrum sensor, automatically tests itself, and lasts up to ten years. The Nest Protect is also the first household detector whose alarm can be turned off with your smartphone without needing additional hardware. And it tells you what the problem is and can even send a notification to your phone. If smoke is detected somewhere by the Nest Protect, it gives you a spoken warning and if one speaks, they all speak. This way everyone in the house knows what's going on.
