The radiator fan accelerates the airflow along the radiator by blowing. This causes more cooler air to flow along the radiator, which heats up faster. The Heatfan turns on automatically at a radiator temperature of approximately 24.3°C and off at 25.3°C. The Heatfan consumes very little power, a maximum of 1 kWh per year. This amounts to about €0.25 per Heatfan per year. The sensors of the Heatfan switch off the fans at the desired room temperature. With the built-in modulator, the fans will run faster and slower, depending on the temperature. By increasing the airflow and circulating heat, the thermostat switches off earlier, and relatively less energy will be consumed. All Heatfan components are developed with a minimum lifespan of 50,000 hours. This means that if the Heatfan is in continuous use 50% of the time, the radiator fans will last 11.5 years. How silent are the Heatfan radiator fans? The Heatfan is super silent, below 20 dB. For comparison: a ticking clock makes 30 dB of noise. A falling tree leaf is 10 dB. How does the Heatfan Touch Sensor work? The latest Heatfan sensor has advanced technology that automatically switches off the fans when the radiator reaches a temperature of 25.3°C. The red LED light on the sensor indicates whether the fans are active. Radiators heat up gradually and cool down slowly. Constantly blowing the fans at one speed does not take this dynamic into account and often leads to unnecessary noise pollution, cold drafts, and a fluctuating indoor climate. Modulating blowing offers a smart solution. All Heatfans are equipped with technology that automatically adjusts the blowing speed to the heat of the radiator. The touch sensor ensures that the fans blow harder when the radiator gets warmer, and slow down and eventually switch off as the heat decreases. This way, the warm air is spread evenly. The touch sensor has different settings with which you can set the desired speed: 1. Green Low speed Supply temperature > 60°C 2. Yellow Low/medium speed Supply temperature 50-60°C 3. Orange Medium/high speed Supply temperature 40-50°C 4. Red High speed Supply temperature <40°C 5. Blue Maximum speed For cooling in summer 6.
