HG descaler for espresso and pod coffee machines is a citric acid-based descaler that removes limescale from all types of espresso and pod coffee machines. This descaler works safely, quickly, odorlessly, and is completely biodegradable. Some manufacturers recommend a lactic acid-based descaler, while others specifically prescribe a citric acid-based descaler. HG has both! This product is good for 6 descaling treatments. Pour 75ml, approximately ¾ coffee cup, of HG descaler for espresso and pod coffee machines into the water reservoir and fill it up to 750ml with water (10 times diluted). Let this solution work for 10 minutes. Then turn on the machine and let half of the liquid run through. Turn off the machine, let the product work for 10 minutes, and then let the rest of the liquid run through until the reservoir is completely empty. After treatment, rinse the machine at least 3 times with clean tap water. For a pod coffee machine, you can first place a pod holder with a used coffee pod in the machine. This will catch any limescale residues, which can prevent a possible blockage of the outlet.
