Steek de staafjes in de mikado pilaar en gooi de knikkers erin. Trek om beurten een staafje met overeenkomstige kleur gegooid met de kleurendobbelsteen uit de pilaar. Degene die het minste aantal knikkers uit het mikado spel heeft doen vallen is de winnaar!
