The 39 Watt 73.3 x 27.4 cm heat mat is a safe heat source for use under terrariums for reptiles such as snakes, lizards and amphibians. Heat is essential for reptiles and amphibians. These animals are ectothermic and therefore depend on external heat sources, such as this Komodo heat mat, to regulate their body temperature. The mats are made of sturdy material and are also very suitable as a secondary heat source, even during the night as they emit no light. The heat mat is also suitable for creating warm forest or desert soil. An English and Dutch plug are included. Please note: the heat mat should preferably be used in combination with a thermostat, which can be ordered separately.
