With 1 kilo of soap you can make 60 liters of liquid detergent and/or liquid soap. So it's also very economical and environmentally friendly. This soap cleans very well, and with essential oil, you can add your own scent to your detergent. You can also make your own soap bars with these flakes, for example, with herbs, essential oil, and hydrolates. An ecological and economical way to do hand washing and machine washing (up to 150 machine washes). These soap flakes consist entirely of vegetable oils derived from controlled organic farming (coconut and palm oil). They are made in France and contain no additives, preservatives, or perfume. Because they are naturally hypoallergenic and contain natural glycerin, the soap flakes are particularly suitable for delicate fabrics (silk, lingerie, and wool), baby clothes, and people with allergies. Good for 130 washes. Product specifications Vegetable Soap Flakes - Organic - 1kg Item description Vegetable Soap Flakes - Organic - 1kg Article number 3760138833099 Type of detergent Washing powder Packaging type Standard Suitable for Color, White Country of origin France Here is a recipe for making your own detergent consisting of 2.5 liters of detergent for white laundry and 2.5 liters for colored laundry 80 grams of grated Marseille soap or soap flakes. 40 grams of soda (for white laundry) 5 liters of water (boiling) 60 drops of essential oil Boil one liter of water. Add the soap flakes. Stir well. And keep stirring until all the soap has dissolved. Add another four liters of boiling water (this can also be done in a clean bucket if you don't have such a large pan). Pour half of the soapy water into another pan or bucket and add the soda. Soda has a slight bleaching effect and is therefore suitable for white laundry. (Note: old washing machines sometimes still have aluminum parts and those machines cannot tolerate soda, as it corrodes the aluminum parts. You can easily test with a magnet whether your drum is made of aluminum or stainless steel; if it's stainless steel, the magnet will stick, if it's aluminum, it will fall off). Let it cool overnight and then add the essential oil of your choice the next day. 30 drops per 2.5 liters of detergent or a little more if you want a stronger scent. Lemon oil enhances the whitening effect and the degreasing effect of the liquid detergent. This is therefore very suitable for the white detergent recipe. I often add a spoonful of organic oxygen bleach (for example from Ecover, available at health food stores or organic shops) to the white laundry because I feel that it just gives that little bit extra to make your laundry beautifully white and clean. Eucalyptus oil is very suitable for washing bedding because it helps against dust mites. Lavender essential oil and YlangYlang are deliciously scented oils if you want a detergent with more fragrance. For very sensitive skin, you can of course omit the essential oil and make an unscented detergent. Or you can add a few drops of essential oil per wash, so you can use something different every time. You will see that after 1 night your liquid detergent has turned into a thick gel-like mass. Stir everything well again (possibly with an immersion blender, but usually a wooden spoon works fine too) so that any lumps disappear and the detergent becomes liquid again, then pour the detergent into empty, well-rinsed, (detergent) bottles. This (unscented detergent) is in principle suitable for all laundry at low and high temperatures. Approximately one laundry ball is needed per wash. Always shake well before use to dissolve any lumps
