Description
ABEC 5: A standard value used to measure the surface of roller bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating parts. All quality manufacturers use at least ABEC 1 as standard. For Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3.
- ABEC 5: Steel balls Grade 5: balls with a precision of 5/1,000,000. This is military-grade and therefore excellent for precision applications.
- ABEC 5 standard: this bearing must pass all tests; these include high-speed noise, very tight tolerances regarding inner and outer diameter, perfect sphericity, raceway accuracy, and the finish of both the raceway and the ball. These bearings are treated with a high-quality Teflon lubricant (Rheolube 374A).
- VV: Developed for the lowest possible friction resistance, the seal has no contact with the inner cage of the bearings. Provided that the bearings also have an increased percentage of grease fill, the grease migrates to the bottom of the groove where a hydromatic type seal is developed between the 2 "lips" and where the grease resides in the groove. This barrier of grease keeps salt and impurities out of the bearing, all to achieve the lowest friction (grade) of all our bearings.
