ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the tolerance of the surface of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating parts. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as standard. At Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 3: Steel balls Grade 10. Races made from 52100 chrome steel and high-carbon steel. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 razor-thin sealing lips that glide into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps out water and impurities, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
