The XD-15 combines a hardened outer race with ceramic silicon nitride balls, oversized in an exclusive working method that ensures a very high quality bearing. These bearings are 5 times more corrosion resistant than 440C stainless steel balls. These bearings run with less resistance than anything we have developed to date, with oversized Grade 3 ceramic balls. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike standard 2RS, we go a little further by machining a recess in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and less bearing resistance. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 sealing lips, thin as a razor blade, that slide into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
