ABEC 3 MAX: MAXimum number of Grade 10 steel balls. Specifically designed for rear suspension pivots. These bearings can handle a load that is 35 – 40% higher than that of standard bearings. The MAX bearing uses CRC marine grease, which provides maximum protection. Even salt water has no effect on this bearing. The LLU seals provide maximum protection against the elements. LLU: Similar to our LLB type seals, the LLU is a contact seal where the double "lips" sit in a recess of the inner ring. Guaranteed better sealing, the seals are ideal for suspension pivots or headsets that are constantly in contact with salt, sweat, and dust. This better sealing and the 2 "lips" help to retain 90% of the grease we use on the bearings, thus protecting it from moisture and continuously lubricating the balls and the raceway.

The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against the elements, while keeping the 90% fill of Almagard extra high pressure grease inside. This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by a number of bicycle brands including Orbea and canta Cruz. The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls.
