ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 sealing lips, fine as a razor blade that glides into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long maintenance intervals.
