The MAX bearing uses CRC marine grease, which provides maximum protection. Even salt water has no effect on this bearing. The LLU seals ensure maximum protection against the elements. LLU: Similar to our LLB type seals, the LLU is a contact seal where the double "lips" are housed in a recess of the inner ring. A better seal is guaranteed; these seals are ideal for suspension pivots or headsets that are constantly in contact with salt, sweat, and dust. This better seal and the 2 "lips" help retain 90% of the grease we use on the bearings, thus protecting it from moisture and continuously lubricating the balls and the raceway.
