ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of roller bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as standard. At Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 3: Grade 10 steel balls. Race made of 52100 chrome alloy and high-carbon steel. ABEC 3 standard. Depending on their application, these bearings use LLU or LLB seals; even when marked with 2RS. LLU: Similar to our LLB type seals, the LLU is a contact seal where the double "lips" sit in a groove of the inner ring. This improved sealing and the 2 "lips" help retain 90% of the grease we use in the bearings, thus protecting them from moisture and continuously lubricating the balls and raceway.
