ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency, and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 lips of seals, fine as a razor blade that slides into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
