Description
ABEC 5: A standard value used to measure the surface tolerance of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as standard. At Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 5: Steel balls Grade 5: balls with a sphericity precision of 5/1,000,000. This is military level and therefore excellent for precision applications. ABEC 5 standard: this bearing must pass all tests; these include high-speed noise, very tight tolerances regarding the accuracy of the inner and outer diameter, perfect sphericity, raceway accuracy and the finish of both raceway and ball. These bearings are treated with a high-quality Teflon lubricant (Rheolube 374A). LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a little further by machining an indentation in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 sealing lips, fine as a razor blade that slides into an indentation with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains grease for smooth rotation and long maintenance intervals.

The bearing has deep grooves in the race and Grade 10 balls, equipped with LLB seals and filled with high-pressure waterproof grease to withstand daily use and exposure to the elements. With correct installation (black seal facing inwards) and adjustment, Enduro angular contact bearings ensure all balls make contact, distributing force over a larger surface, reducing wear and extending lifespan. Available in high-carbon chrome steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless steel balls. Designed with deep grooves to accommodate large balls and double lip seals that form a labyrinth for superior protection against dirt, water and dust. Static load 501 lbf / 2.23 kN. Weight: 16.4 g.
