ABEC 3: A standard value used to measure the tolerance of the surface of rolling bearings. There are five classes: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The higher the ABEC class, the greater the precision, efficiency and speed capacity, but the highest ABEC classes are not necessarily the fastest rotating components. All quality manufacturers worldwide use at least ABEC 1 as standard. At Enduro, the minimum standard is ABEC 3. ABEC 3: Grade 10 steel balls. Races made of 52100 chrome alloy and high-carbon steel. ABEC 3 standard. Depending on their application, these bearings use LLU or LLB seals; even when marked 2RS. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a notch in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 sealing lips, fine as a razor blade that slides into a notch with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
