Macramé is an ancient technique where you use strong yarn or rope to tie different types of knots, which then form various patterns. You can learn how to make some of these knots with our technique videos. The activity requires almost no tools except for the macramé string/cord, although it helps to work on your knotting projects using a special macramé board/clipboard. At the end of a project, the ends can be frayed and combed with a comb for a different look.
