This makes them pioneers in supporting controlled and ecologically responsible forest management. The pencils are therefore made of beautiful wood. Together with the FSC, Memo supports initiatives that help to preserve valuable old-growth forests, protect the indigenous inhabitants of those forests, and guarantee the long-term, environmentally friendly use of wood as a raw material. The FSC label is awarded to forestry companies, but also to complete manufacturing processes. Memo guarantees that every step in the manufacturing process meets the strict requirements of the FSC. In short: The FSC eco-label identifies products for which wood from ecologically and socially responsible forests is used, independently certified according to the strict guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council.
