Description
Giraffen hebben een unieke manier van lopen waarbij ze beide benen aan de ene kant van hun lichaam bewegen en vervolgens beide benen aan de andere kant. Dit is ongebruikelijk in vergelijking met andere dieren. Ze kunnen echter rennen op een vergelijkbare manier als andere zoogdieren, waarbij ze hun achterpoten en voorpoten tegelijk bewegen. Giraffen kunnen snelheden tot 55 km per uur bereiken, maar alleen in korte sprints.
