Description
The Komodo dragon is known to have fifty different types of toxic bacteria in its saliva, which thrive on traces of meat. As a result, bite wounds quickly become infected. Recent research, however, indicates that the true reason for such a high success rate in poisoning its prey could be due to the Komodo dragon potentially having a venom gland in its mouth.
